You will be working as Market Development Specialist, will be part of Electrification Business Area for Smart Buildings division based in Dubai, UAE. In this role you will be responsible to support active business development \xe2\x80\x93 in line with the respective division strategy - in countries where infrastructure as well as business situation needs to have more attention and focus. Business support in terms of product and application & solution knowledge, segment and customer (group) support for the assigned part of the product portfolio, ensuring the deployment of the strategic plan of the division. Support activities ensuring profitable growth for orders, revenues, margins, market shares, customer satisfaction as well as the implementation of special product / application / segment initiatives in close collaboration with needed stakeholders of the division. In addition to that the support of sustainable deployment of the country specific plans is integral part of the responsibility. Furthermore, to support the collaboration between local marketing & sales teams, functions, global product groups as well as HUBs and factories

Your responsibilities
Supporting the development and execution of the strategies and business plans on focus segments/channel/applications for identified markets in collaboration with the local sales & marketing teams and GPG functions, in line with the overall division strategy to achieve defined distribution channel targets
Responsible for demand creation activities for smart power and smart buildings scope in government entities including their subsidiaries, relevant consultants and EPCs within UAE, establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promoting customer understanding of full product/systems/services offering and aligning to provide a solution
Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process, supporting developing and implementing product support and product training to ensure high customer satisfaction in cooperation with product management and global team, preparing sales plans using company tools and performing regular status reviews and proposing recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls
Supporting growth of the top line in each market and creating new business opportunities, creating added value for the customer and ABB and ensuring the successful outcome of transactions, contracts and proposals by using effective marketing techniques, communicating details in accordance with ABB offering and strategy and conditions
Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customer, end-user and utility and supports local organization in the execution of product launches
Identifying and driving the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensuring know- how sharing and cross-collaboration
Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supports collection and project management activities when needed
Your background
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electrical Engineering.
3 to 5 years of proven relevant experience
Fluency in English language is mandatory
