Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MariaDB Database Administrator (DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our MariaDB database environments. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, security, and reliability of databases supporting business-critical applications.
Key Responsibilities
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain MariaDB database servers
Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and schemas
Manage database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies
Ensure high availability and replication (Master-Slave, Galera Cluster, etc.)
Perform database security management (users, roles, privileges, encryption)
Troubleshoot database issues and provide root cause analysis
Plan and execute database capacity planning and storage management
Work closely with developers to support application database design and tuning
Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts (Shell, Python, etc.)
Maintain database documentation and operational procedures
Support production, staging, and development database environments
Ensure compliance with company policies and data protection standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of experience as a Database Administrator
Strong hands-on experience with MariaDB / MySQL
In-depth knowledge of:
SQL and query optimization
Indexing strategies
Stored procedures and triggers
Replication and clustering
Experience with Linux/Unix systems
Strong understanding of backup tools (mysqldump, mariabackup, etc.)
Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Zabbix, Percona Monitoring, etc.)
Knowledge of database security best practices
Ability to work under pressure and handle production incidents
