Job Description

The Marble Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the marble production process, ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and meets the highest quality standards. The supervisor will manage a team of workers, coordinate with other departments, maintain inventory control, and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. They will also be responsible for troubleshooting any production issues and ensuring that deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities

:

Supervision & Team Management

: Supervise a team of marble production workers, including machine operators, laborers, and other support staff. Provide direction, training, and mentorship to team members. Schedule shifts and ensure optimal staffing levels. Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training and development programs for team members.

Production Oversight

: Oversee marble cutting, polishing, and finishing operations. Ensure that production is meeting established goals, timelines, and quality standards. Monitor the production line for efficiency, ensuring that downtime is minimized and output is maximized. Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Quality Control, Inventory) to ensure smooth production flow.

Quality Control

: Monitor and ensure that marble products meet quality standards and specifications. Perform quality checks on finished products and raw materials. Address and resolve any production quality issues promptly. Ensure adherence to all company policies and industry standards for product quality.

Inventory and Materials Management

: Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure adequate supply of raw marble, tools, and materials. Track usage of materials and report on stock levels, helping to prevent shortages or wastage. Ensure all marble is properly stored and handled to avoid damage.

Safety Compliance

: Enforce and ensure adherence to all workplace safety protocols. Conduct safety training and regular safety audits. Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards within the production area. Ensure workers are using the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Maintenance & Equipment Management

: Oversee the maintenance of machines and equipment used in the marble production process. Ensure regular inspections are carried out and repairs are scheduled. Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance teams for prompt resolution.
