ABOUT THE JOB:

To plan and direct operations, technical matters and personnel pertaining to ADNOC L&S ship management assigned fleet department (Technical - Offshore Fleet, Technical - Marine Services - Das Fleet & Technical -Marine Services - Ruwais Fleet) in order to ensure vessel uninterrupted availability, Safety & environmental compliance, continuous efficient performance, and economic integrity, while providing quality customer service, achieving commercial targets, delivering long term corporate strategies, and ensuring compliance with international and local maritime regulations and standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Manage day-to-day vessel operations and manning and monitor daily vessel movements, providing guidance, encouraging teamwork, facilitating related professional work processes, and resolving any crucial issues on vessels in order to achieve high performance standards while satisfying customer needs.
  • Liaise with internal and external parties at the appropriate levels, including customers, port authorities and suppliers, to ensure smooth flow of interactions.
  • Ensuring effectiveness of engineering standards towards managed projects, maintenance and operational activities.
  • Manage, develop, review and implement cost effective new technologies to facilitate efficient operations, and cost optimization.
  • Oversee all technical data records and drawings pertaining to all Dept. assets, ensuring they are updated, maintained & readily available for access.
  • Ensure effectiveness of shipping technical services strategy and set development plans in synchronization with other marine, HSE, and commercial operations department, and timely meeting strategies and business demands under uninterrupted operations.
  • Effectively execute set plans across the shipping technical services, ensuring optimization of resources utilization as per the set business strategies ROI\'s, and manage associated operational risk in line with industry best practices.
  • Oversee the assessment, approval of appointment and promotion of all Dept. fleet sea staff engineers, ensuring that right people are put for the right rank and task.
  • Manage Dept. vessels classification society and other necessary certification, by planning effective inspection surveys and programmes.
  • Supporting the development of Dept. vessels life cycle analysis and life extension
MINIMUN QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline or equivalent. from a recognized institution or foreign going CoC (Class 1) or an equivalent qualification
  • 12 years\' experience, including at least 8 years of managerial experience as a technical superintendent progressing to the rank of Chief Engineer including around 10 years of relevant sea[1]going experience or an equivalent experience
  • Experience in the Oil and Gas is preferred. large tankers/crude oil carriers in the oil and gas transportation industry
  • In-depth knowledge of Technical Services protocols and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of general mechanical/electrical engineering and industrial automation.
