About The Role Responsible for soliciting and managing reservations sales-related opportunities. Manages and provides training and work assignments to Reservations Sales staff. Actively up-sells each business opportunity to maximize revenue opportunity. Achieves personal and team related revenue goals. Responsible for driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience. Provides service to our customers in order to grow share of the account on behalf of the company. Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Maintains the in-house reservations systems
  • Forecasts revenue streams
  • Be fully aware of the Booking situations at all times, and supervise the Reservation Executives in order to maximize the Hotel Sales with the highest possible Average Room Rate.
  • Assists the sales team in setting their rates
  • Ensures that all reservations are recorded on standard forms attached with the concerned correspondence, and they are filed by arrival date in easily accessible Files.
  • Ensures that all Rooming lists for the group's reservations are received on time and accurately inserted into the Computer system.
  • Ensures that all the definite reservations are guaranteed, to minimize the last minute non-guaranteed cancellations.
  • Upsell Hotel Outlets and facilities whenever possible
  • Be fully aware of the Hotel allotments spread all the times, and follows up with the Contract conditions, and cut off dates.
  • Updates the Hotel Data System with the Updated Contracted Travel Agents rates.
  • In coordination with the Front Office Manager, set up the over-booking margin for the Normal and peak periods to ensure filling the House without making unnecessary turn away.
  • Keeps a good relation with all the travel agents and there to ensure the mutual cooperation and the smoothness of the work.
  • Prepares and submits all statistics and reservations reports requested by the Director of Revenue or the General Manager
  • Having knowledge of entire Reservation Procedure according to International Hotel manual system.
  • Allocates daily tasks to Reservations staff
  • Reviews reservation booked daily.
  • Reviews arrival report daily.
  • Responsible for preparation of occupancy forecast.
  • Responsible for implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for recording Company/Travel Agent Rates both in system and correspondence file.
  • Liaises with Sales Department in regards to occupancy, Rates Reservation's Analysis.
  • Identifies Top Producing Accounts ensure proper recognition by Reservation staff
  • Responsible for various Production reports and supply to each department concerned.
  • Ensures special handling of repeats guest and very VIP guest.
  • Reviews room blocking for Long Stay. Suites and special group request.
  • Maintains cordial relations with commercial clients.
  • Bring to the attention Front Office Manager when the hotel availability status be changed and prepare for necessary action.
  • Executes and supports the hotel selling strategy and lead the reservation workforce towards achieving the revenue goals. Develops and maintains an effective upsell program and motivate the team to actively convert each business opportunity into sell/upsell.
  • Responsible for maintaining a Neat and Orderly position at all times.
  • Be fully aware of all the Hotel Facilities and services, and provide training to the reservation team on using the Hotel Facilities.
  • Supervising of Group Reservations
  • To use and to train the reservation personnel using the up-selling techniques in order to maximize the rooms revenue
  • Monitoring Telephone Manner and general performance of reservations staff daily.
  • Frequent evaluation of team member's performance and identify training needs.
  • Ensures that the operational budget is in line; and costs are strictly controlled maximizing profitability.
  • Participates in the budgeting process for Reservations department.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in Hospitality or Business Management
  • Qualification in Revenue Management
  • At least 2 years experiences in a similar Job role in a Five star Hotel
  • Middle East Experience is preferred
  • OPERA/Fidelio Knowledge
