The Compliance Team

Our compliance team believes merchant payments should be ultra-safe and secure. That\'s why they work hand-in-hand with regulators throughout MENA. It may sound all tree-huggy, but nothing is more important than creating a safe transaction environment for our global merchants. If you share similar beliefs, this might be the team for you
As a Tapster you will:
    • Monitor and assess the compliance risks associated with new and existing products and services.
    • Identify and assess compliance risks and vulnerabilities and develop and implement risk management programs to mitigate them.
    • Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations within the Group that affect the Company and provide guidance on the impact of such changes.
    • Assist in the development and delivery of compliance training programs for employees and management.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as legal, risk, and audit, to ensure the effectiveness of our compliance program.
    • Perform regular compliance reviews and investigations which will cover the Group.
    • Leverage industry awareness and risk management expertise to optimize the design of AML, KYC, Card scheme compliance solutions to both meet our customer experience and effectively address compliance risks.
    • Compliance advisory and a organizational program owner, partnering with legal, technical, and business teams to measure and to mitigate AML and sanctions risk through appropriate control implementation, testing, and (where necessary) remediation.
    • Periodically conduct internal audits & reviews on controls & processes to identify gaps & strengthen controls.
    • Communicate product and program level risk to leadership, business and technical teams, and external parties (e.g. external audit teams).
    • Carry out other duties, as assigned based on the demands of the business and growth of the role.

What you will bring to the party:
    • 6-8 years of role specific experience with an in depth understanding of PayTech and now a master of your craft
    • Direct experience with P2P, credit, prepaid, lending, e-commerce or payment gateway risk management
    • Proven capability to work independently and continually calibrate priorities with minimal supervision
    • A customer first approach to everything, persistent and drives for perfection
    • Humility, our managers are doers and drivers, they demonstrate through execution and lead by example
    • The ability to notice problems and create solutions, thinks quickly to solve complex challenges
    • You\'ve begun to make a name for yourself as an industry or department leader
    • Outstanding communication skills with the ability to engage in detailed discussions with internal & external stakeholders
    • A degree is preferred, but sometimes the University of Life works just fine
    • Excellent communication skills in English & Arabic, is preferred
