Manager Project Finance

Job Description

Reporting to the Finance Director or as advised by management this role will be responsible to oversee and manage the financial aspects of projects within the organization. You will work closely with project teams, senior management, and other stakeholders to ensure effective financial planning, analysis, and reporting for projects. Your role will involve budgeting, forecasting, cost control, financial risk assessment, and providing financial insights to support decision-making.

Key Accountabilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and financial models.
  • Monitor project financial performance against budgets and provide regular variance analysis reports.
  • Conduct financial analysis to assess project profitability, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with project teams to review financial plans and ensure alignment with project objectives.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
  • Prepare project budgets in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost control measures.
  • Track project costs against budgets and analyze any deviations.
  • Provide guidance to project teams on effective financial resource allocation.
Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for projects, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Consolidate project financial reports for management review.
  • Present financial performance and analysis to senior management and project stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Financial Risk Assessment:
  • Identify and assess financial risks associated with projects.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
  • Monitor and report on financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure project contracts and agreements are financially sound.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with project managers, department heads, and executives to align financial goals and project objectives.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making processes.
  • Foster strong relationships with project stakeholders and serve as a trusted financial advisor.
Required Skills Project finance, FP&A, Budgeting, Risk assessment

Job Requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Minimum Experience (number of years) - Minimum of 10 years of proven experience as a Finance Manager, Project Controller, or similar role, preferably in a project-based environment.

Qualification \xe2\x80\xa2 Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (a Master\'s degree in Finance or a related field is preferred). \xe2\x80\xa2 Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or ACCA is highly desirable
