About The Role

The Marketing Manager will be involved in creating positioning statements for a luxury hotel and major revenue streams such as F&B outlets, Spa, Meeting and Events facilities, etc., and lead several re-positioning exercises.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • The Marketing Manager will be involved in creating a topnotch brand identity for luxury hotels, to be able to create a brand identity based on our values and positioning for both The Meydan Hotel and Bab al Shams Desert Resort and Spa. This will be translated into tangible guidelines for internal use within the Marketing Team and external use by our design agencies.
  • The Marketing Manager will be developing highly effective marketing strategies for both hotels with the aim of maximizing all major revenue streams within the hotels. The strategy will be based on the positioning of the hotels in combination of the key audiences in key markets.
  • The Marketing Manager will be developing marketing action plans for both hotels that target key audiences in key markets in the most effective way - according to the values and positioning of the hotels. Each action must be measurable and will be measured after completion.
  • The marketing actions created by the Marketing Manager will be aimed to maximize revenue generation for all major revenue streams within the hotels and targets customers before and during the buying process and also during and after their stay.
  • The Marketing Manager will develop photography briefs and storyboards for Hotel and Lifestyle photo- and video shoots according to the values and positioning of the hotels. The right photographer, stylist, models, props are to be sourced and the photo shoot organized internally; to create stunning and effective photo and video material that fully reflects the strategy, values and positioning of the hotel.
  • The Marketing Manager uses the brand guidelines to create high quality collateral, advertising material and sales tools that reflect the brand identity, values and positioning.
  • Managing of creative agencies, in-house creative team and printers are part of the tasks the Marketing Manager carries out - including creating high-quality briefs, quality control and be the brand guardian.
  • The Marketing Manager listens to and communicates with the internal clients regarding any business needs that require marketing support.
  • The Marketing Manager researches and develops new marketing opportunities in existing and new markets.
  • The Marketing Manager creates new and enhances existing mutual beneficial partnerships with luxury A-brands.
  • Marketing actions are to be developed within budgetary constraints, as laid out in Business Plan and approved budgets - always taking the targeted ROI in to consideration.
  • Interviews, selects, reviews and counsels team member as required, so as to maintain order throughout The Meydan Hotel.
  • Ensures team members\' clear understanding of position requirements, goals and standards of performance of the department.
  • Conducts yearly Conference and Events team APR and on-going evaluations, coaching and counseling.
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree / higher education qualification in Marketing or its equivalent
  • 3 years in the similar role in similar role at five star
