Key Responsibilities

Audit Planning & Execution

Develop and execute a risk-based internal audit plan to ensure regular review of critical business operations. Conduct financial, operational, and compliance audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and governance frameworks. Review and analyze financial statements, accounting records, and transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with IFRS, UAE accounting standards, and VAT regulations. Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies, and operational risks, and recommend practical corrective actions. Assess procurement, contract management, and business practices to detect fraud risks, policy breaches, and control gaps.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, tax laws, corporate governance standards, and industry-specific requirements. Identify and evaluate financial, operational, and cybersecurity risks, proposing mitigation strategies to management. Support enterprise risk management initiatives and internal control enhancements.

Financial & Operational Audits

Perform cost analysis, revenue verification, and expense audits to safeguard financial integrity. Evaluate inventory management, procurement, and supply chain processes for efficiency, effectiveness, and cost optimization. Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements within financial reporting and internal control systems.

Reporting, Advisory & Follow-Up

Prepare clear and comprehensive audit reports outlining findings, risk ratings, recommendations, and action plans. Collaborate with department heads to develop, monitor, and track corrective action plans. Provide advisory support on internal controls, financial best practices, risk management, and cost-saving initiatives. Report key audit findings and risk exposures to senior management and relevant governance committees.
