Synopsis

We have an exciting opportunity for ambitious, focused and committed Ops Research/Data Scientist to manage the digital transformation process of Etihad's Revenue Management area to transform it into a competitive advantage for the company. Design and implement data science models in areas of pricing, forecasting and optimization to drive incremental revenues and improve efficiency. Research, assess and recommend cutting edge technologies/models applied in the RM space and lead proof of concepts implementation. Responsible for implementation of new code releases of RM systems and monitor the overall usage of the systems for effective usage.
Accountabilities
- Drive innovation in Pricing & RM systems researching Operations research journals and models presented in industry conferences in collaboration with RM solution providers, PROS, Sabre, Infare, and other system integrators.
- Drive revenue and automation by developing advanced analytical models (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive) and deploying them in the Pricing & RM ecosystem.
- Manage and maintain calibration of pricing models, forecasting, and optimization parameters in Revenue Management systems for better forecast accuracy and effective O&D controls.
- Research on ways to enhance inventory functionalities in areas of availability calculation, reduce revenue dilution by enhancing or developing new Revenue Integrity processes, and availability troubleshooting diagnostics.
- Manage user acceptance testing of new systems and upgrades of existing RM systems to ensure delivery of requirements as per the business needs without severity one or two defects. Prioritize and coordinate the delivery of bug fixes, enhancements, and new releases of RM systems.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Operations Research, Economics or MBA
- Professional with deep analytical and communication skills with a innovative and entrepreneurial mindset
- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in designing, implementing and maintaining Operations Research and/or Data Science models used in commercial/operational processes
- Experience in the usage of data science programming languages (R, Python) and cloud based data warehouse (Google Big query, Snowflake)
- Experience in Dev-Ops and ML-Ops methodologies and tools
- Desirable: experience in digital or analytics related roles in the airline industry
