Job Description

To ensure effectiveness & efficiency in the bank\'s process of financial control and assist in relevant cost management MIS reporting.

To be engaged in regulatory reporting, financial reporting and control aspects of the Bank (including NBF Islamic) and its subsidiaries (NBF Financial Services and NBF Capital Limited) and to ensure effective financial / regulatory reporting including statutory consolidated financial statements.

Key Accountabilities

Financial Reporting

\xef\x82\xa7 Preparation of the monthly accounts / presentations and yearly financial statements of the Group and subsidiaries ensuring compliance with IFRS / IAS (including NBF Islamic);
\xef\x82\xa7 To produce accurate and informative accounting and financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
\xef\x82\xa7 Responsible for the evaluation of new IRFS / IAS and regulatory requirement implications on the Bank.
Liaison with the External, Internal and Central Bank Auditors

Subsidiaries Reporting:

1. NBF Capital Limited financials and books of accounts
2. NBF Financial Services FZC financials and books of accounts

Regulatory Reporting (CBUAE BRF)

Accruals and prepaid expenses monitoring and management.

GL ownership framework compliance and products testing (including NBF Islamic) - Ensuring initiation / execution of the respective level of controls to enhance the control environment. Undertaking product testing from Finance perspective and ensuring seamless reflection in the system from GL / financial / accounting related matters.
Month End Processing
Responsible for the preparation of the policies and procedures manuals and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information with enhanced analysis.

Cost Effective Budget and Planning
Team Engagement
Staff engagement and liaison.

Internal:
\xef\x81\xb1 Staff of Business and Functional units. Accruals and prepaid expenses monitoring and management.
\xef\x81\xb1 Periodic meetings with respective departments to provide financial guidance and advice on strategies to meet overall bank\'s objectives.
\xef\x81\xb1 Periodic meetings with Internal Audit on issues relating to policies and procedures.
\xef\x81\xb1 Consult IS&T for system related issues.

External:
Periodic meeting with external auditors in lieu of the financial statements, Central Bank Returns and other specific issues.

Job Context

GL ownership framework compliance and products testing; Control and Governance / GL controls (including NBF Islamic)

\xef\x82\xa7 Feasibility study and product / channel support (incorporating PPG, Financial Projections analysis and testing of products).

Education

Post Graduate in Finance/ MBA Finance
