Position Summary Key Objectives:

Samsung eStore PMO for Platform Enhancements for multiple eStores in MENA

Samsung MENA HQ is currently operating a regional eStore for selected MENA markets. The RHQ Online team serves as the center of excellence for enhancing Samsung MENA’s leadership position in eCommerce by maximizing customer experience, brand presence and sales growth across online channels. We are searching for an eStore PMO who will lead the high-performing eStore development team to drive regional platform enhancement rollouts. The PMO will play a leading role in driving the implementation of technical products and setting standards for rollouts of new features. The eStore PMO is responsible for the day to day planning, leading, organising and motivation of the scrum team(s) to achieve a high level of performance and quality in the delivery of outputs that provide exceptional value to business users. Further the PMO will support the eStore Lead with strategy and business development by designing the platform roadmap based on business priorities and ensuring delivery on time and quality. Role and Responsibilities
Position Responsibilities:
  • Managing the relationship with the development team as part of effective project delivery. Acting as a liaison between the regional eStore team, regional development team and global platform teams
  • Creating and maintaining quality project documentation, such as timelines, risk logs, project reports and change controls, which are kept up to date at all times. Proactively follow PMO processes and procedures.
  • Provide leadership to cross-functional project teams and define and manage project priorities with internal team members. Leading stand ups and internal project meetings
  • Proactively identifying, communicating, and addressing risks throughout the delivery process and managing scope and stakeholder expectations
  • Managing 3rd party relationships on projects and identifying and mitigating associated risks accordingly
  • Run multiple delivery streams and markets, to ensure governance at top management level and conduct governance project meetings and identify successful and unsuccessful project factors and gaps
  • Ensure consistent weekly planning / reporting cycle including clear reporting of progress towards vision & goals, deliverables & features, issues, risk & resource allocation across the engagement
  • Schedule user stories from the technical product backlog to the Sprint plan, focusing on regular and timely delivery of business value initiatives, facilitates agile ceremonies, e.g. product backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives
  • Ensure the Acceptance Criteria and Definition of Done (DOD) is being followed, make sure that each team member is fully engaged in the stories and making a meaningful contribution. Encourage a sustainable pace adhering to the agreed quality management plan with the team. Maintains an agile project management tool (ScrumDesk, JIRA, etc.).
  • Running the daily sprint stand up
  • Participate in technical planning and requirements gathering phases including design, code and test.
  • Support the eStore Lead in managing internal stakeholder expectations for project deliverables and helping in implementing an effective system of project governance
  • Fully responsible for leading the regional development team
  • Calculates the team’s velocity and works with the management to adjust priorities
  • Provide the management with appropriate project timelines
  • Report to the management the monthly performance of the development squad and share opportunities, challenges, and recommendations
  • Presenting the development progress to different internal and external stakeholders
  • Work closely with the eStore lead to translate functional requirements into technical solutions
  • Keep up to date on new technology, standards, protocols, and tools in areas relevant to the rapidly changing digital environment
  • Drafting and maintaining technical documents and translating them into operational processes for subsidiary teams
  • Lead implementation of the solutions from establishing project requirements and goals to solution "go-live"
  • Lead technical part of launching new eStore programs and sellout functionalities: cascade user guides, operational processes to local subsidiaries
  • Answering and prioritizing business requests while leading on a series of initiatives aiming at ensuring that the eStores are always up‐to‐date and perform at their best
Skills and Qualifications
Essential skills and experience: The role requires excellent business acumen and stakeholder management as well as technical skills.
  • Attention to detail and forward planning
  • Works independently with minimal supervision. Shows initiative and is hands-on.
  • Strong experience in delivering projects using different methodologies, ability to perform a scrum master role for efficient sprint planning. Able to lead and facilitate sprint ceremonies.
  • Good understanding of eCommerce and eCommerce platforms (ERP, WMS, SAP CX, etc.)
  • Ability to handle and de-escalate contentious situations and provide a proactive approach to risk management and mitigation
  • Well-versed in the use of tools of software delivery e.g. MS OFFICE suite, JIRA, Confluence etc. Experience in setting up projects and generating reports.
  • Ability to effectively communicate specialist information in an understandable format to all stakeholders
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience in building and leading geographically distributed delivery teams, including experience in working with customer’s distributed team and defining right target operating model
  • Expected to have exceptional organization, leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Self-motivated, flexible, multitasking, reliable to deliver on time, a quick-thinker, be able to work in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial work environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (can‐do approach)
  • Strong problem solving skills to identify areas of issues and opportunities, evaluate options and provide clear recommendations/strategic plans for business growth
  • Comfortable in a cross-functional environment; flexible and open to ideas from all areas and levels of the organization, while also confident and decisive in a matrix organization
  • Ability to handle multiple demands efficiently, while being extremely organized and maintaining high attention to detail
  • Outstanding stakeholder management on different levels and geographies
