Description

Position Summary

The position is part of the existing D2C Digital Marketing Team and main purpose of this role to establish Samsung.com as the preferred shopping destination of all Samsung products in GCC.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for contributing to the strategic direction, P&L growth, and digital experience for Samsung.com by developing new digital products and promotions, delivering a best-in-class digital customer experience and communications, and scaling the direct-to-consumer channel within Samsung. The candidate will be also responsible for developing strategies, executing plans, measuring performance and reporting insights around digital performance marketing activities.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Establish Samsung.com as preferred shopping destinations for all Samsung products beyond only product experience
  • Develop and activate cross divisional marketing campaigns based on annual marketing calendar (Owned channel & partners) and create online exclusive promotions
  • Develop communications for all digital touch points focusing on lower funnel, closing deals and short cut to conversion in collaboration with wider team and agency partners
  • Responsible for delivering user friendly content that drives business outcomes and ensuring the website delivers an exceptional customer experience and sales growth.
  • Lead Omni-channel initiatives to provide integrated experience and more options on product line-up and delivery for customer by connecting touch points across channels
  • Create a best-in-class shopping experience for your business by partnering with internal stakeholders across Merchandising, Marketing, Engineering, Operations, Analytics, and Customer Service; always optimizing and focusing and removing purchase barriers and creating a customer-centric, shopping experience.
  • Develop data-drive perspectives on the end-to-end operations of the business, from upper-funnel marketing and merchandising, to on-site path-to-purchase and experience, through conversion, identify areas of opportunity and work cross-functionally to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Bring innovation by bringing outside-the-box ideas, leveraging data, and building insights to create business cases to build scalable products and promotions to drive the growth of your business; develop functional capabilities to test, learn, and iterate to accelerate category growth.
  • Manage & Execute digital and e-commerce campaigns with media agency support
  • Establish and maintain industry benchmark and KPIs for Conversion funnel
  • Maximize ROAS & leads across digital campaigns
  • Continuously look for new tools/strategies to help drive online business growth
  • Laisse with media agency to develop media strategy and plans
  • Monitor industry changes and build relationships with key vendors to innovate Samsung's media strategy
  • Communicate with the wider marketing team to align and improve over-arching digital strategy
Skills and Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • BS/BA degree required
Experience:
  • 8+ years of experience in eCommerce Marketing. Experience in Technology, Consumer Product, E-Comm and/or Consumer Electronics is required.
  • Knowledge and passion for direct-to-consumer eCommerce business practices and operations. Digital UI/UX enhancements experience a plus.
  • Ability to facilitate cross-functional teams and navigate matrixed organizations.
  • Strong analytical, data-driven problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines. In addition, must be able to manage multiple projects and often competing priorities.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience with Tableau and Confluence a plus.
Competencies:
  • A deep knowledge of digital media and performance marketing
  • Strong quantitative & analytical skills; able to use data to optimize day-to-day performance
  • Experience in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Understanding of Excel functions, pivot tables, and charts/graphs)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (including presentation)
  • Experience collaborating with external agencies
Job Specific:
  • Experience working with popular ad platforms (SA/DV 360, FB Manager, Twitter, Snapchat etc.)
