Implement and follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Develop, maintain, update and ensure adherence with ISO-certified department standard operating procedures and processes including obtaining the ISO certificate if not available and arranging and passing the annual audits.
Develop, maintain, update, manage and monitor the digital transformation of all department standard operating procedures and processes through the use of robotic process automation enabled by Artificial Intelligence and Power BI.
Ensure employees are aware and follow the information security rules and data security measures in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties.
Device and implement controls to ensure no violation of ISR regulations in order to protect the company information / intellectual properties.
Communicating with the Concerned Government Departments involved in the Marine activities
Maintaining, developing relationships with customers and strategic business partners
Effectively leading the customer facing aspect of DMC Berth Operations while upholding DMC's image through proper representation at local and international events.
Responsible and accountable for the planning and reservations of berths as well as the overall commercial management of berth spaces and services to maximize occupancy and consumption of services.
Responsible and accountable for achieving, recording and monitoring DPW GCC Strategy level KPIs such as customer satisfaction, berth occupancy and berth booking confirmation processes as well as developing action plans in case KPIs are not met.
Lead and manage the Reservations section including the Assistant Manager, Executives, Administrators, Coordinators and Billing Staff.
Familiar with the duties Director - Operations, as it may be required to act in their capacity in their absence.
Responsible and accountable for the processes of slot booking, confirming bookings and issuance of progressive and final invoices including ensuring accurate information and verification of data entry.
Ensure acceptable collection of accounts receivables in line with DMC's payment terms and arrange for notices and legal proceedings in case of non-payment.
Forecast and budget for the annual berth occupancy and consumption of berth services and ensure that the targets are met; prepare action plans and business cases to ensure that the targets are met.
Monitor and track performance and developments in the market and ensure that variances against performance targets are brought to the early attention of the senior levels and corrective action is taken.
Analyze business opportunities with current and prospective customers by developing networking strategy and recommending solutions
Lead all required updates for the berth occupancy in official presentation and all relevant collaterals to ensure the information represented is relevant and up-to-date, in coordination with the Marketing & Communications department (DMC & DPW GCC).
Report to Direcor - Operations on critical issues and operational updates in addition to booking projections.
Responsible for marketing shipyards services and recommend marketing business strategies.
Ensuring that all information has been communicated to the accounts section before invoices are prepared for a particular vessel prior to the departure of the vessel.
Preparing and finalizing the long term & short term contracts for yard spaces.
Attending the marine related seminars, workshops and exhibitions to ensure business enhancement and overall profitability of the company.
Provide necessary assistance to train subordinates to improve the level of skills.
