To complete due diligence on new to bank client on-boarding, monitoring existing clients to rule out money laundering/terrorist financing/sanctions risks via name screening, reporting unusual/suspicious cases to Group Compliance and perform system testing and maintenance in order to comply with regulatory requirements and mitigate risk for the bank.
Review account opening/Know Your Customer (KYC) documentation during name screening, liaising with business units, Group Compliance and control teams to ensure quality of KYC forms and documents Monitor the team\xe2\x80\x99s screening and review of alerts pertaining to new customers being on boarded and existing portfolio screening to ensure they are following the bank\xe2\x80\x99s guidelines and policies Monitor the team\xe2\x80\x99s transactions, providing guidance and feedback to ensure they understand and follow the process and policies.
Review the team\xe2\x80\x99s handling of alerts of new customer on boarding and existing customer portfolio of the bank to ensure understanding of the systems being used, providing corrective feedback if required Monitor and review the teams involved in review of sanction related alerts to ensure they are certified and trained to dispose or refer the alerts to Compliance.
Report on matches to Compliance, reporting Risk Incidents in a timely manner to ensure the bank fulfils its regulatory requirements and avoid penalties.
Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner while delivering the required standard of service to customers and stakeholders.

Skills
At least 5 years of experience in a Compliance role with at least 3 years of experience Compliance Operations.
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business or related field.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) Understanding of account opening and customer documentation Knowledge of customer behaviours Exposure to banking transactions Understanding of local/International and UAE Central Bank (UAECB) rules and regulatory requirements Understanding of banking systems, reports and workflows
