About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for a Club Lounge Manager in Jumeirah Beach Hotel. The Manager is responsible for managing the performance of the Club Lounge and its facilities by supporting the executive lounge team with daily activities, achieving guest service standards and departmental revenue and profit goals. Expected to provide professional leadership, motivation, supervision of staff ensuring exceptional service by engaging executive guests from arrival to departure, and responding to all requests, inquiries, and complaints during their stay.

The main duties and responsibilities of this role:

  • Work closely with department heads and establish clear Food and Beverage offerings and service standards for F&B
  • Ensure coordination and well execution of all Hotel VIP Guests arrival and management of their stay on executive floors
  • Manage the day-to-day activities of one or more bar/lounge schedule employees to ensure proper coverage, and plan and assign work. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all executive lounge employees are properly trained, and certified as required, and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job
  • Ensure Club lounge guests are greeted upon arrival and receive a prompt and professional welcome.
  • Ensure Club Lounge staff maintain a professional manner and are up to date with VIP guest movements, hotel events, local attractions, and activities
  • Ensuring that brand standards are met, and guest expectations are exceeded
  • Comply with legal procedures relating to food hygiene, health and safety and personnel requirements.
  • Lead the Club Lounge colleagues training and coaching of the team.
  • To actively supervise the team to promote a consistent and effective lounge environment.
  • Assist the team with difficult situations that may arise in the lounge.
  • Create innovative programs and promotions to market special menu items and support system-wide food and beverage programs. Monitor performance of such programs through analysis of guest feedback and financial results. Initiate corrective measures as needed. Conduct meetings to inform staff of special promotions, daily specials, and additional information.
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments. Key departmental contacts include Sales and Marketing, Catering, Banquets, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Guest
  • Vendors -to ensure adequate inventory of supplies and equipment, to discuss pricing or service issues, to resolve any vendor performance issues,
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Advises the F&B management of any improvements needed in relation to restaurants operation including updates to SOPs or addition/ deletion of SOPs.
  • Attends any other tasks defined by the HOD Senior Management.
About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:
  • Hospitality diploma or degree (preferable).
  • 3-4 years Food and Beverage Experience needed in a premium Fine Dining Establishment in a Five-star Hotel on a Management level Good knowledge with Opera system and Administration skills.
  • Additional language skills preferable (i.e., Arabic, French, Russian, German, Italian).
