Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing painting works.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning and Repairing:

This involves removing old paint, filling cracks and holes, sanding surfaces, and cleaning them to ensure proper paint adhesion.
Painting and Coating Application:

Color Mixing and Matching:

Accurately mixing paints, stains, and varnishes to achieve the desired color and consistency.

Applying Coatings:

Using various methods like brushes, rollers, or sprayers to apply paint, stains, and other coatings to different surfaces.

Maintaining Equipment:

Ensuring that painting equipment (brushes, rollers, sprayers) is clean and properly maintained.
Safety and Maintenance:

Following Safety Protocols:

Adhering to safety guidelines when working with paints, solvents, and other materials.

Erecting Scaffolding:

Setting up and dismantling scaffolding and ladders safely for high-reach tasks.

Inventory Management:

Maintaining an inventory of painting supplies and equipment, ensuring they are readily available for projects.
Other Responsibilities:

Working with Various Materials:

Handling different types of paints (latex, oil-based), stains, varnishes, and other finishes.

Repairing Surfaces:

Performing minor repairs on surfaces before painting, such as patching holes or cracks.

Working with Other Professionals:

Collaborating with other maintenance personnel to coordinate and execute painting projects.

Scraping and Sanding:

Using appropriate tools to remove loose paint, smooth surfaces, and prepare them for new coats.

Applying Primers and Sealers:

Preparing surfaces with appropriate primers and sealers to enhance paint adhesion and longevity.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus. Proven experience in maintenance or a related field. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
