Maintenance Helper

Job Description
The Maintenance Helper supports the maintenance team in performing routine maintenance tasks, minor repairs, and facility upkeep. This role involves assisting with inspections, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring that maintenance operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist maintenance technicians with repairs and preventative maintenance tasks. Help with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. Perform basic tasks such as changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, and replacing filters. Clean and organize maintenance areas and tools. Carry tools and materials to and from job sites. Assist in maintaining safety protocols and housekeeping in work areas. Respond to work orders and service requests under supervision. Maintain inventory of supplies and report shortages. Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic understanding of maintenance tools and equipment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Physically able to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and work in various environmental conditions. Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from senior technicians.
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in a maintenance, janitorial, or labor support role is a plus. Basic knowledge of hand and power tools. Good communication and teamwork skills.
Working Conditions:
Work may be performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. May require flexible hours including weekends or emergency calls. Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED800.00 - AED1,000.00 per month
