Job Title:

Maintenance Assistant (Engineering - Plumbing & Lighting)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Maintenance Assistant to support our engineering team in maintaining and repairing plumbing and lighting systems across our facilities. The ideal candidate will assist in diagnosing and resolving maintenance issues, ensuring the smooth operation of building systems, and contributing to a safe and functional environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, including sinks, toilets, pipes, and drainage.

Support the troubleshooting and fixing of lighting fixtures, switches, and electrical outlets.

Perform routine inspections to identify wear and tear or potential issues in plumbing and lighting systems.

Assist senior technicians or engineers in executing maintenance tasks and repairs.

Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all maintenance activities.

Assist in ordering supplies and parts necessary for plumbing and lighting repairs.

Report any major issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in plumbing or electrical systems is a plus.

Previous experience in building maintenance, plumbing, or electrical work preferred.

Basic knowledge of plumbing and lighting systems.

Ability to use hand tools and small power tools safely and effectively.

Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and climbing.

Working Conditions:

May require working in confined spaces or at heights.

Some work may be performed outside or in adverse weather conditions.

Availability for emergency repairs outside of regular working hours may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
