to lead and oversee daily operations in our machining department. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in planning, scheduling, and managing both CNC and conventional machine shop activities to ensure quality, productivity, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily operations of CNC and conventional machining processes
Plan and schedule jobs to meet production targets and delivery deadlines
Allocate resources and assign tasks to machinists and operators
Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety protocols
Maintain records of work orders, job progress, and maintenance schedules
Coordinate with production, QA, and engineering teams for smooth workflow
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in a machine shop, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
Strong knowledge of CNC (lathe, milling, VMC) and conventional machines
Proven experience in production planning and scheduling
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret machining requirements
Leadership skills with a hands-on approach
Familiarity with shop floor documentation and ERP systems is a plus
