- Managing stock levels
- Coordinating and controlling order cycles
- Monitoring delivery times and transport costs
- Planning vehicle routes
- Evaluating quality of logistics processes and planning improvements
- Monitoring factors like fuel costs, environmental impact and legislation and optimizing logistics processes accordingly
