Logistics team is responsible for processes and procedures related to Baker Hughes\' shipping logistics and customs across borders. We manage transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers.

As a Logistics Specialist, you\xe2\x80\x99ll manage transportation and related logistics of goods and services to and from internal and/or external customers/suppliers.

As a Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for:

\xc2\xb7 Working in accordance to companies policies and procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Developing and leading end-to-end logistics solutions to achieve required on-time pick up & delivery of goods. Managing Logistics Costs to meet budgets and Operation Plans and supporting in tenders on estimating logistics costs.

\xc2\xb7 Understanding logistics acronyms, customs regulations, customs regimes, Inco terms, export / import controls, permit requirements and licenses to be applied for commodity codes that relate to dangerous goods

\xc2\xb7 Communicating efficiently to internal and external customers, brokers and forwarders to ensure flawless execution and avoid costs out due to negligence.

\xc2\xb7 Comprehending all modes of shipping, knowing how to review customs invoices and packing lists, DG declarations, all types of Way Bills and Customs Bill of Entries and Exits, permits, licenses pertaining to commodities.

\xc2\xb7 Providing regular and precise updates to Country logistics lead and internal customer as required, including adhering to daily and weekly reports.

\xc2\xb7 Supporting procedures review, to ensure maximum efficiency or minimum cost

\xc2\xb7 Conferring with logistics management teams to determine ways to optimize service levels, maintain supply-chain efficiency, or minimize cost

\xc2\xb7 Handling communication with direct colleagues, business leads and other functions and product lines in their queries related to Logistics.

\xc2\xb7 Contributing to project as a team member and focusing to achieve work goals successfully

\xc2\xb7 Keeping compliance and HS&E as the number one priority and also other companies core values in check while on the job

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

\xc2\xb7 Have minimum 2 years of solid experience in logistics. Have additional experience in Customs Operations as a preference.

\xc2\xb7 Have a Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited university or college

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate experience and knowledge of domestic logistics control

\xc2\xb7 Demonstrate good communication skills. Interpersonal and leadership skills. Ability to work independently; problem solving skills.

\xc2\xb7 Have IATA / IMDG certification (preferably)

\xc2\xb7 Be an experienced SAP user (preferably)

\xc2\xb7 Have excellent oral and written communication skills, and advanced English level

\xc2\xb7 Be fluent in written and spoken Arabic (preferably)
