Job Description

The purpose of this position is to assist the Inventory Controller in providing effective inventory management and services to the Engineering & Maintenance Department of Dubai Metro.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Generate replenishment reports from Maximo and coordinate with Subsystems for providing requirements for creating the Purchase Requisition in the system.
• To create PR in Maximo for materials and services based on replenishment reports and requirements of subsystems.
• Follow-up with the Procurement team on placing orders for PRs raised, especially related to NIL and Low STK materials.
• Follow up with suppliers for proving the delivery schedule once PO is placed by Procurement Team.
• Update delivery schedules in Maximo and generate PO pending reports and distribute to subsystems.
• Arrange delivery of items based on INCOTERM agreed with Supplier, prior to arranging delivery ensure that all details are matching as per KM-PO, MMS PO, Invoice & Delivery Notes.
• Co-ordination with International suppliers for exports for all OEM Repairs, Warranty Replacements, Calibration, overhauls, and refurbishments.
• Manage Packing & Freight Quotes whenever necessary for Outbound shipments.
• Responsible for arranging Re-import of all items sent overseas for Repairs, Warranty Replacements, Calibration, overhaul, and refurbishments.
• Preparation of Export Invoices for all Repair, Calibration, and other Requirements.
• Preparation of Airwaybill for Courier shipments for both Exports & Imports.
• Raising and managing requests on Vendor platforms like Thales, Axis, ASL etc.
• Coordination with end users and Warehouse team members for various Logistic requirements.
• Continuous Coordination with nominated Freight Forwarders for the smooth deliveries of items for Dubai Metro warehouses.
• Communicate with the suppliers for wrong deliveries, replacements for obsolete items, mis-matches in part Nos. etc.
• Liaise with Procurement, Finance and Warehouse on an everyday basis for smooth Import & Export of goods as per the Maintenance Management System.

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

• Good knowledge of proper material handling.
• General knowledge in using different types of material handling equipment.
• General understanding of safety guidelines within the warehouse environment.

KEY SKILLS

• Sound Knowledge of Import, Export, Logistics, and Local Customs.
• Possess good communication and writing skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work productively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Thorough understanding of all aspects of safety issues related to Railway Operations.
• Possess primary knowledge of Dangerous goods imports.
• Knowledge of Maximo and advanced Ms Excel.

EXPERIENCES

• Must have a minimum of 5 years in multinational Engineering, maintenance, or construction company with a good technical understanding of complex engineering systems & at least 3 years in procurement and logistics.

EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Must hold a minimum bachelor's degree/ diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline.
