Job Overview:
As our FMCG Logistics assistant, you will be responsible for logistics assistance--from procurement and inventory management to transportation and distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
Logistics & Supply Chain Oversight:
Lead the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of logistics operations including transportation, warehousing, and distribution of FMCG products.
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement innovative logistics strategies to streamline operations, optimize inventory levels, and ensure timely delivery of products to our customers.
Performance Monitoring:
Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor logistics performance, prepare regular reports, and implement process improvements.
Compliance & Quality:
Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company quality policies.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and IT departments to integrate logistics processes with overall business objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably within the FMCG industry.
Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale distribution and logistics operations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
Proficiency with ERP systems and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or MBA is an asset.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM/CSCP, Lean Six Sigma).
Experience implementing process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
