Job Description

Key responsibilities

Station management:

Set up and stock the cooking station with all necessary supplies and ingredients, and maintain its organization throughout the shift.

Food preparation:

Prepare food items by chopping, mixing, and pre-cooking according to recipes.

Cooking:

Cook menu items by grilling, frying, sauteing, and other methods to meet restaurant standards, portion control, and presentation specifications.

Quality control:

Ensure all dishes meet the establishment's standards for taste, quality, and presentation.

Cleanliness and sanitation:

Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, equipment, and surfaces, and comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations.

Inventory and stocking:

Perform inventory checks and restock supplies as needed to ensure a smooth workflow.

Collaboration:

Work with other kitchen staff, such as prep cooks and servers, to ensure orders are prepared efficiently.

Special requests:

Prepare dishes to accommodate customer allergies or other dietary needs.
