Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented

Lighting Pre-Sales Engineer

to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lighting systems with hands-on experience in reviewing and creating BOQs, performing design tasks, negotiating with suppliers, and estimating project costs. This role bridges technical expertise with client-facing responsibilities, supporting the sales team throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Division Leader to provide technical support and develop tailored lighting solutions based on project requirements. Review project specifications and drawings to create accurate and detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs). Contribute to the design and layout of lighting systems, ensuring compliance with project needs and industry standards. Prepare lighting calculations, product selections, and system design documentation. Estimate lighting project costs, considering materials, labor, and logistics. Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and product availability. Assist in the preparation of technical submittals, proposals, and tender documentation. Participate in client meetings and presentations to explain solutions and provide expert input. Stay updated on the latest lighting technologies, products, and market trends. Support the handover of awarded projects to the implementation team, ensuring all technical aspects are well-documented.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field. 3+ years of experience in lighting pre-sales, design, or estimation. Proficiency in lighting design software (e.g., DIALux, Relux) and AutoCAD. Strong understanding of lighting control systems and electrical integration. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Fluency in English is required.
