Job Purpose

The Lifting Supervisor (LEEA Approved) is responsible for overseeing all lifting operations on site to ensure they are carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with statutory requirements, industry best practices, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and supervise all lifting activities in accordance with approved lifting plans and risk assessments. Ensure all lifting operations are conducted safely, effectively, and in compliance with company policies and LEEA regulations. Liaise with the appointed person, rigging team, crane operators, and site management to organize lifting operations. Verify that lifting equipment and accessories are certified, inspected, and properly maintained. Conduct pre-lift inspections and safety briefings before every lifting operation. Ensure that only competent and authorized personnel participate in lifting operations. Monitor site conditions to identify potential hazards and take corrective actions when required. Maintain accurate records of lifting operations, equipment certification, and personnel competency. Stop any lifting activity that is unsafe or not compliant with the lifting plan. Provide toolbox talks and on-site training related to lifting operations and equipment safety.

Qualifications & Experience

LEEA Approved Certification

(Essential). Minimum 2

years' experience

in lifting and rigging operations within construction. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and ensure adherence to safety at all times.
