Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the maintenance and operation of all lifting equipment, loose gears, and related accessories used in field operations
  • Ensure all activities are performed according to approved procedures, safety standards, and ADNOC Codes of Practice
  • Supervise contracted personnel to ensure work is carried out correctly and to required technical and safety standards
  • Participate in preventive maintenance, repairs, and preparation for major planned overhauls in coordination with senior supervisors to minimize downtime and costs
  • Draft and manage work orders, consult with senior supervisors on priorities, and prepare detailed daily work schedules
  • Coordinate with Production and Safety departments to obtain work permits and report deviations from approved plans
  • Diagnose complex faults, analyze equipment breakdowns, and determine tools, materials, and manpower requirements
  • Direct technicians during troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities
  • Identify spare parts, consumables, and tool requirements and follow up on material requisitions to maintain adequate stock levels
  • Recommend improvements to stock levels or materials based on equipment performance and operational needs
  • Ensure maintenance records, technical documentation, and inspection reports are completed accurately and on time
  • Supervise lifting operations related to maintenance activities and vessel or boat movements, ensuring safe execution
  • Maintain updated records of maintenance activities, statutory inspections, and loose gear inventories across sites
  • Ensure corrective actions from statutory inspections are implemented without delay and coordinated with relevant trades
  • Withdraw non-compliant or suspected lifting equipment and initiate replacement requisitions as required
Ideal Profile
  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience, including hands-on maintenance of hydraulic cranes and electrical gantry cranes
  • Strong background in lifting equipment maintenance within oil and gas or heavy industrial environments
  • Solid understanding of preventive maintenance programs, fault diagnosis, and repair planning
Skills Set
  • Knowledge of lifting equipment safety standards, statutory inspection requirements, and ADNOC procedures
  • Ability to supervise teams, contractors, and multi-disciplinary work activities
  • Strong coordination, reporting, and documentation skills
  • Awareness of HSE requirements, emergency response procedures, and sustainability practices
