The ideal candidate will ensure the safety of swimmers and guests in open water environments, respond effectively to emergencies, and uphold the highest standards of safety and service in a luxury hospitality setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor swimming areas, beaches, and open water zones to ensure guest safety at all times.
Respond promptly to emergencies, including rescuing distressed swimmers and administering first aid or CPR when required.
Enforce safety rules, regulations, and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
Conduct regular inspections of safety equipment, rescue tools, and lifeguard stations to ensure full readiness.
Maintain clear communication with fellow lifeguards, supervisors, and emergency services when necessary.
Provide guests with safety information and guidance regarding water activities and potential hazards.
Accurately document incidents, rescues, and daily operational activities.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Certified Lifeguard (Open Water) qualification from a recognized institution.
3+ years of lifeguarding experience, preferably in open water environments within luxury hotels or resorts.
Strong swimming capabilities and high physical fitness.
Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency rescue procedures.
Excellent alertness, observation skills, and decision-making abilities.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work shifts, including weekends, holidays, and under varying weather conditions.
Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
