Role Summary
The Legal Manager oversees and coordinates all legal affairs of the company, providing expert legal guidance on contracts, procurement, projects, drilling, subsurface operations, and international transactions. The role ensures regulatory compliance, minimizes legal risk, manages disputes and litigation, and supports corporate governance across ADNOC Group operations.
What You'll Do

• Plan, organize, and supervise all legal affairs and corporate legal activities
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, agreements, deeds, and legal documents
• Provide legal opinions, interpretations, and risk mitigation strategies to senior management
• Advise procurement and project teams to prevent disputes and reduce litigation exposure
• Provide comprehensive legal support to contracts and procurement functions
• Assess and manage legal risks in international and cross-border transactions
• Review contractor claims and provide legal recommendations to protect company interests
• Participate in dispute resolution, settlements, arbitration proceedings, and court actions
• Interface with external legal counsel for litigation and alternative dispute resolution
• Advise on corporate governance frameworks and regulatory compliance
• Monitor legal and regulatory changes impacting business operations
• Supervise, mentor, and develop legal department staff
• Ensure compliance with UAE laws, ADNOC Group standards, and asset integrity codes

Ideal Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized university
• Minimum 8 years of legal experience within petroleum or major industrial organizations
• At least 5 years' experience advising senior management in a legal capacity
• Strong background in oil and gas, construction, drilling, and major project contracts
• Proficiency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and legal drafting skills
• Ability to manage complex legal matters independently
• Computer literacy with experience in standard legal and office systems
