Job Summary

This critical role will act as an advisor to KEO\xe2\x80\x99s senior management and assist the General Counsel identify and manage the legal issues and affairs of KEO and its associated interests in the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities

Paramount to success within this varied role will include;
  • Prepare, review and assist in the negotiation of a range of corporate / project agreements.
  • Assist the General Counsel in providing advice on and monitoring KEO\xe2\x80\x99s legislative compliance requirements (and legislative changes).
  • Assist in developing and maintaining appropriate corporate policies, procedures, systems and processes to ensure best practice governance and compliance
  • Assist in developing and conducting training programs to ensure employees meet their regulatory / internal KEO corporate policy requirements
  • Protect the firm in connection with its various Client appointments associated with each of the Design and Planning, Infrastructure and PM/CM Services Divisions.
  • Communicate with KEO\'s assigned stakeholders regarding the legal and contractual risks associated with Consultancy Services Agreements, Sub-Consultancy Agreements and other Client Services appointments.
  • Assist the General Counsel in ensuring that the legal / commercial risks to KEO are minimized.
  • Liaise with and support each of the Divisional VPs/MDs in respect of their divisional contractual / claims management and training requirements.
  • As part of KEO services supplied by KEO Design and PMCM teams, provide advice to KEO\'s Clients (Governments and Developers) on contractual aspects of procurement strategies, consultancy services, construction contracts and claims.
  • As part of KEO Claims Management and Dispute Resolution Service provide advice to Clients on Claims and Disputes. \'Cradle to grave\' involvement in this service including: liaison with potential clients, formulating proposals, concluding agreements and carrying out the claims review assessments, claims document preparation and dispute resolution services.
  • Assist the General Counsel in the co-ordination of KEO activities, in conjunction with the engagement of external legal counsel (as appropriate), related to any arbitration or other legal proceedings in which KEO is involved.
Qualifications

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that you will bring a minimum of 5 year\xe2\x80\x99s career experience with a Bachelor of Law or equivalent. Masters level qualification will be viewed favourably.
