The Legal & Compliance Manager is responsible for protecting the company's legal interests and ensuring full compliance with UAE laws and regulations across
all branches in Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah
. The role oversees contracts, legal documentation, government registrations, intellectual property, litigation, and compliance matters for the entire group. This is a
5-day work week
role.
Key Responsibilities
1. Contracts & Legal Documentation
Review, draft, and approve:
Employment contracts and job offer
Credit application forms
NDAs, MOUs, supplier, and client contracts
Service agreements and partnership contracts
Ensure all contracts protect company interests and minimize legal risk
Standardize and maintain contract templates across the group
UAE Labour Law
Commercial Law
Consumer Protection Law
Data Protection requirements
Monitor legal compliance across all departments
3. Government & Legal Registrations
Handle or supervise:
Commercial licenses
Legal filings and registrations
Submissions through UAE government portals
Coordinate with:
Economic Departments
Free Zones
Ministries and regulatory authorities
4. Intellectual Property (IP) Management
Register and manage:
Trademarks and brand names
Product registrations
Patents and industrial designs
Monitor and address IP misuse or infringement
Coordinate with local and international IP agents and offices
5. Litigation & Legal Cases
Manage court cases, including:
Labour disputes
Rental disputes
Commercial cases
Prepare legal documents, evidence, and submissions
Liaise with external lawyers and legal consultants
Track cases and ensure timely follow-ups
6. Legal Risk Management
Identify potential legal risks and exposures
Advise management on legal implications of business decisions
Develop preventive legal strategies to protect the group
7. Internal Legal Advisory
Act as legal advisor to:
HR
Sales
Procurement
Management
Review business decisions from a legal perspective
Support negotiations with legal guidance
8. Records, Tracking & Reporting
Maintain organized legal records and contract files
Implement tracking systems for:
Contract expiry and renewals
Court deadlines and legal actions
Provide regular legal status reports to management
Value-Added Responsibilities
Implement a legal approval workflow (no document signed without legal review)
Develop company-wide compliance checklists
Conduct basic legal awareness training for staff (contracts, NDAs, confidentiality)
Monitor changes in UAE laws and advise management accordingly
Support dispute prevention and settlement negotiations
Assist with legal requirements for regional or international expansion
Ensure online platforms (websites, Shopify, Amazon, etc.) are legally compliant
Required Experience & Skills
Must-Have
Strong knowledge and experience in UAE laws and regulations
Hands-on experience with:
UAE government portals
Dubai Courts systems
Legal and regulatory platforms
Excellent Arabic skills (reading, writing, and legal drafting)
Preferred / Nice to Have
English proficiency
Experience in:
Intellectual property registration
Commercial litigation
Multi-company or group legal structures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED12,000.00 per month
