Key Responsibilities

  • Provide professional legal advice to senior management on corporate, commercial, contractual, and regulatory matters.
  • Monitor and follow up on external litigation cases including police, labour, pension, and local court matters.
  • Liaise with government departments, regulatory authorities, and commercial organizations on legal affairs.
  • Review and comment on bidders' qualifications, contract terms and conditions, bank guarantees, performance bonds, and insurance policies.
  • Process company licensing applications and coordinate with relevant licensing authorities.
  • Review labour-related cases and prepare advisory reports on disputes and litigation matters.
  • Support coordination with Abu Dhabi Pension Fund and other statutory bodies regarding legal compliance.
  • Oversee translation and legalization of corporate legal documents.
  • Maintain structured archiving and safekeeping of legal records and official gazette publications.
  • Monitor amendments and new UAE laws, preparing updates relevant to company operations.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive in-house legal reference library to support efficient legal decision-making.
  • Recommend improvements to record retention schedules and legal documentation processes.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Law or equivalent professional legal qualification from a recognized university.
  • Minimum 6 years of legal advisory experience within a large industrial organization, preferably in oil and gas.
  • Strong expertise in UAE corporate, commercial, contract, and labour law.
  • Proven ability to draft, review, and negotiate contracts to protect corporate interests.
  • Good persuasive, negotiation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Abu Dhabi regulatory procedures for corporate entities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and legal documentation systems.
