Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small group support to students with learning difficulties or special educational needs (SEN).
- Assist classroom teachers in modifying lessons to meet students\' unique learning requirements.
- Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the teaching and SEN teams.
- Support positive behavior management and foster social skill development.
- Prepare learning materials and help maintain an organized and supportive classroom environment.
- Maintain open communication with teachers, SENCO, and parents under supervision to report student progress.
- Assist in recording student behavior and academic achievements for evaluations and meetings.
- Participate actively in professional development, training sessions, and team planning activities.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Minimum high school diploma; a degree or certification in Special Education, Education Support, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Previous experience working with children, particularly those with special needs, is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing attitude.
- Ability to adapt instructional support to different learning styles.
- Basic knowledge of child development and inclusive teaching practices.
- Proficiency in using educational technology.

- Successful completion of a background check.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate cultural sensitivity in a multicultural setting.
