Overview

Reporting to Manager, Learning, the Learning Partner I, is responsible for learning experience including designing, managing and evaluating workforce development strategies and initiatives that align organizational learning and development with planning, capability and performance requirements. The Learning Partner I, works closely with internal learning partners across MHC to ensure quality and organizational approaches to learning and performance development.

Works in partnership with the leadership team, and in alignment with organizational priorities and directions to design learning experiences, deliver programs and large scale workforce development and learning initiatives that support a culture of excellence and high performance. The Learning Partner I, plays a key role in facilitating the strategic development of a highly capable workforce, underpinned by a culture of high performance and continual learning.

Responsibilities

KEY DECISIONS THE ROLE MAKES AND THE EXTENT OF THE IMPACT OF THE DECISION
  • Manages in the planning, design and delivery of the annual learning and development plans within MHC.
  • Reviews and makes recommendations on all strategies, frameworks, policies, processes, analytical and modeling techniques, tools, staffing and resourcing issues relating to portfolio of services under their command.
KEY ACTIVITIES
  • Assisting in the preparation and leads in the execution of annual training plan and yearly budget for the section.
  • Participates as a key member in organizational committees related to caregivers learning and development.
  • Manages organizational policies related to caregiver learning development and educates and provides advice to line managers.
  • Manages and chairs the MHC, LMS Administrator Group to ensure that all Division level users have their learning system needs effectively met on an ongoing basis.
  • Changing mind-sets, educating and preparing caregivers to develop in their current roles by nurturing individuals to acquire skills and make the most of learning using technology (LMS).
  • Developing managers to be able to support learning in their teams.
  • Coaching caregivers to recognise that they learn from their daily work and daily interactions with their peers.
  • Inspiring caregivers to manage their own professional development.
  • Supports the delivery of learning programs including facililation of internal workshops, partnering with internal SMEs, and coordinating with external vendors to deliver workshops.
  • Drive the development of a learning culture across MHC.
  • Alongside Talent Management, identify and support our future leaders in reaching their potential through coaching and other targeted learning initiatives.
  • Build high quality, engaging learner friendly modules and initiatives.
  • Prodvides guidance, advice and training on the staff Performance Development System.
  • Manages the execution of an organization-wide learning strategy that link planned workforce needs with capability development initiatives and programs.
  • Publishes and markets the organization-wide annual learning catalogue and calendar in consultation with the communications department.
  • Supports the generation of monthly management reports related to staff learning and performance including recommendations for improvement or action.
  • Maintaining positive and effective working relationships within the department/division and also with other departments/sections within the MHC.
  • Developing systems and internal processes as required.
  • Verifying accuracy of information, understanding and effectively communicating based on policy and procedures.
  • Manages organizational relationships with business vendors related to staff learning and development.
  • Builds collaborative relationships with all internal learning partners to ensure common and consistent processes organizationally.
Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in HR Development, Organizational Development or Effectiveness or any other base knowledge degree related to workforce learning and performance management.
Experience
  • Minimum of 8 years progressive human resources experience is required with least 5 years in a learning role.
Job Specific Skills & Abilities
  • High level knowledge and understanding of contemporary workforce and capability development frameworks and theories.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing large scale and competency based approaches to staff learning and performance development.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage functional resources and performance (financial, human and physical) to deliver planned outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work at an organizational level and across organizational and professional boundaries.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work effectively within an international and multi-cultural environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize key issues, incorporate appropriate evidence and write complex reports for recommended action.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
