Position Overview
ADNOC Group is seeking a Lead Process Engineer to direct and coordinate all activities within the process engineering discipline. The role provides technical authority, supports operations, leads reviews of engineering deliverables, and ensures process integrity, safety, and compliance across major projects, brownfield upgrades, and new field developments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise process engineering activities and provide technical support to operations across all process-related matters.
  • Prepare performance and progress analysis reports, identify issues, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure all work complies with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Support the achievement and maintenance of ISO certification for the Process Engineering section.
  • Review engineering deliverables prepared by EPC contractors, focusing on process design and control systems.
  • Evaluate system and equipment designs to ensure safe, efficient, and maintainable operations.
  • Provide on-site process engineering consultation during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning stages.
  • Serve as Technical Authority for process engineering, mediating technical disputes when required.
  • Develop and approve key process engineering documents such as philosophies, design basis, policies, and standards.
  • Review and update process engineering standards, specifications, and codes of practice to align with legislation, best practices, and lessons learned.
  • Recommend and assess new technologies and innovations that enhance operational performance and business goals.
  • Support HSE-driven studies and ensure process engineering expertise is provided for safety reviews and workshops.
Ideal Profile
  • Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas or related industries.
  • Strong technical authority capabilities in process engineering principles and standards.
  • Skilled in reviewing EPC deliverables, process documents, and control philosophies.
  • Strong understanding of HSE studies, safety workshops, and regulatory requirements.
  • Capable of resolving complex technical issues and facilitating cross-functional engineering discussions.
