Wood is currently looking for a Lead Piping Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE.
Lead and manage the piping engineering
Single-point responsibility for all piping deliverables and ensure that they conform to all applicable engineering codes and standards as well as the Client\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedure
Participate in all project safety and design reviews as necessary.
Ensure that all work is completed without compromise to quality and is delivered according to the project schedule
Promote safe behaviour at all times
Provide sound technical advice and solutions to a diversity of technical problems within the discipline
Assist in the coordination of all activities related to piping deliverables
Identify any areas of concern with respect to progress and / or quality and recommend corrective actions as required
Attend weekly progress meetings and generate status reports for the Engineering / Project Manager
Aware of piping stress analysis requirements and supports details as per applicable codes and standards
Check and approve design philosophies, specifications, pipe supports, standard detail drawings, MTO and material requisitions in accordance with the project scope of work and contract
Aware of plant layout requirements is necessary
Skills / Qualifications
Bachelor honours degree in a relevant engineering discipline from recognized institution
Professional Accreditation from recognized institute preferred
Minimum of 15 years experience in the oil and gas industry
Extensive PMC experience preferred
Experience working with multi-national and multi-cultural project teams is strongly preferred
Previous experience of working in the Middle East would be an advantage
Thorough awareness of relevant international codes and standards
