• Oversee audit execution of individual audits in line with department approved methodology, IIA Standards, guidelines and best practices, help in the implementation of IA department strategies and audit plan related to Operations support functions (HR, Finance, Compliance, Risk Management, Treasury, and more) by executing short and long term initiatives across methodology, people and stakeholders, evaluate and improve effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, compliance, corporate governance, systems and processes, comply with the Central Bank-related regulations and IIA standards.
• Implement changes in internal audit methodology in all assigned audits; work with Head of Operations Audit by remaining aware of changes to respective auditable entities at all times, suggesting changes if required, ensure the adequate audit coverage in line with the auditable entity\xe2\x80\x99s risk profile.
• Help in performing continuous risk assessment of auditable entities across all risk types to assess changes in their risk profile and the need for immediate audit focus or inclusion in the Annual Audit Plan. Also, help in producing accurate, transparent, insightful and timely reports for executive Management and Board Audit and Compliance Committee.
• Ensure execution of comprehensive audit programs and test sheets for the evaluation of the controls, risk management and governance activities over all assigned audit functions and systems.
• Perform all audit reviews and engagements mandated by the Central Bank, follow up the outstanding audit observations and appraise the adequacy of actions taken by management to implement the corrective actions if required.
• Make sure that the team performs all audit activities (planning, field work and reporting) in line with department-approved methodology, IIA standards, guidelines and best practices.
• Perform value added audit engagements over assigned areas meeting the KPIs (department and individual ones).
• Manage the execution of individual audits by ensuring optimum allocation of resources, time and effort regarding identified key risks, also managing individual audit planning and preparing and reviewing key audit planning deliverables (audit programs / planning memorandum, test sheets) to ensure audit coverage of evaluation of the controls, risk management and governance activities, liaising with Head of Audit before launching fieldwork.
• Prepare/review documentation to ensure the quality of deliverables, adequacy of testing and meeting the established KPIs. Ensure efficient utilisation of approved budget (across HR, Admin and Finance).
• Ensure that stakeholders are aware of emerging issues throughout the course of audit. Lead discussions with stakeholders regarding audit findings to agree on action plans, and constantly communicate significant issues to the Head of Audit.
• Elaborate high-quality audit reports with value-added, insightful recommendations to improve risk management, control environment, governance, operational efficiency and business performance, meeting the related IIA guidelines.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders based on credibility, integrity and genuine business partnership, guide and advise stakeholders if necessary, maintaining in-depth knowledge of activities in all areas of individual audit engagement. Promote a fair and equitable work environment, provide regular feedbacks. Enhance overall performance and make sure the established department and staff KPIs are achieved.
• Assist the Head of Audit in maintaining effective working relationships with regulators and external auditors by providing technical input.
• Conduct special reviews and investigations if needed.
