Job Purpose

Oversee and deliver technical instruction and evaluations for the Operations personnel and key management staff at Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP), including Initial, Requalification, or Management Certification training and evaluations. for the following operation positions: Senior Reactor Operators, Reactor Operator and Local Operators. Review and administer Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulations (FANR) exams. Share best practice with Senior and entry-level instructors to improve training program and ensure adherence to the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process.

Training Development and Administration
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Review and deliver training and evaluation material in an effective manner that meets World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO) and FANR standards to ensure operators receive the required training material in the classroom.
  • Analyze, design, develop, and review various operator training programs (Certified and Non-Certified) to ensure the training needs in the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) are met and in compliance with the procedural requirements so that the Operators master all associated objectives and remain in adherence to the SAT process.
  • Develop and assist in the validation and delivery of FANR exams to ensure the Operations personnel attain and maintain the necessary qualification to safely operate BNPP.
  • Administer written, simulator and job performance evaluations to ensure there are no exam compromises.
  • Oversee and deliver (as needed) training to key Nawah personnel on relevant operational procedures, eSOMS training, and nuclear technologies to establish baseline knowledge amongst management at BNPP.

Corrective Action Program (CAP)
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
  • Oversee and verify all assigned actions are appropriately tracked to ensure that no actions go overdue.
  • Check CAP to ensure any conditions adverse to quality are filed to engage improvement process.

The incumbent is expected to perform standard activities as per attachments 4 & 5 in the procedure (relating to Health, Safety and Environment, Security and Business Continuity, People Management, Excellence and Quality Management

Minimum
  • Certified as a qualified instructor for the material being presented.
  • Instructors of FANR Certified Senior Reactor Operators or Certified Reactor Operators shall hold, or have held, a Senior Reactor Operator Certification at a Nuclear Power Plant.

Preferred
  • Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO) Instructor Certificate.
Minimum
  • High School Certification.
  • 8 years of relevant experience, out of which:
  • 3 months in a Nuclear Power Plant.

  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of instructional techniques through training or experience.

Preferred
  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or other scientific discipline.
  • 8 years of relevant experience, out of which:
  • 3 years of work experience within Nuclear Operations Training.
