Role Description We are seeking a highly ambitious Short Term Gas Trader to lead our expansion into European gas trading. As the Lead Short Term Gas Trader, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our gas trading desk and driving profitability. You will be accountable for the overall performance of the gas trading desk, including developing and executing short-term trading strategies. The successful candidate will have a track record of success in gas trading and a deep understanding of market dynamics and price movements. You will have the support of a junior trader, analysts, and our technology team in this endeavour. Our ambitions are to grow this desk over time to a global physical desk for both pipeline gas and LNG covering all time frames and major locations. Gas will remain key to world energy transition for decades to come. Responsibilities

• Develop and execute short-term trading strategies from within day to month ahead across GB and major Continental markets.
• Analyse market trends and identify trading opportunities in the GB, FR, NL, BE, and DE gas markets.
• Manage a team of traders and analysts to ensure smooth daily operations of the desk.
• Collaborate with other teams within the company to ensure alignment with overall business strategy.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and market developments in the gas trading industry.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in gas trading, with a focus on short-term trading.
• Deep understanding of at least one of these gas markets: GB, FR, NL, BE, and DE and their unique dynamics.
• Proven track record of success in gas trading, including experience in transport and storage optimisation.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically.
