Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and creative

Ladies' Arabic Tailor Designer

with experience in designing, tailoring, and altering women's traditional and modern Arabic garments such as

abayas, kaftans, and jalabiyas

. The ideal candidate must be proficient in pattern making, garment construction, and fittings, with the ability to understand and translate client requirements into high-quality finished garments.

Key Responsibilities:

Garment Creation & Alteration:

Cutting, stitching, and assembling Arabic ladies' garments with a focus on both traditional and contemporary styles.

Pattern Making:

Creating or adjusting patterns to ensure perfect fit and adherence to design specifications.

Client Interaction:

Meeting clients to discuss style preferences, taking accurate measurements, and conducting fittings.

Design Input:

Offering design suggestions, embellishment ideas, and style improvements based on fashion trends and customer taste.

Fabric Knowledge:

Recommending suitable fabrics based on garment type, design, and customer needs.

Alterations & Repairs:

Performing garment modifications and repairs to ensure ideal fit and finish.

Quality Control:

Reviewing each piece to ensure high standards of stitching, detail, and overall presentation are met.

Workshop Maintenance:

Keeping the tailoring area organized, clean, and well-equipped.

Required Skills & Experience:

Tailoring Expertise:

Proven experience in sewing and constructing garments, especially abayas, kaftans, and jalabiyas.

Pattern Making:

Ability to draft, cut, and adjust garment patterns for custom and ready-made designs.

Customer Service:

Strong interpersonal skills to engage professionally with clients.

Attention to Detail:

High level of craftsmanship and precision in sewing and finishing.

Problem Solving:

Ability to adjust designs and resolve issues in fitting or construction.

Arabic Language Proficiency (Preferred):

Ability to communicate with Arabic-speaking clients is a strong advantage.

Fabric Knowledge:

Understanding of various textiles and how they interact with garment design.

Independence & Teamwork:

Comfortable working independently or collaborating within a small team.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

Minimum 3-5 years of tailoring experience focused on Arabic women's wear. Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. Passionate about fashion and Arabic design aesthetics. Preffered Ladies.
