Job Description

The Arabic Tailor is responsible for

designing, altering, and repairing women's traditional and modern Arabic garments

, including

abayas, kaftans, and jalabiyas

. This role demands strong sewing and pattern-making skills, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality craftsmanship that aligns with customer preferences and cultural styles.

Key Responsibilities:

Garment Creation:

Expert in cutting, sewing, and assembling traditional Arabic garments with a high focus on style, fit, and finish.

Alterations and Repairs:

Modify garments based on client needs, including shortening, tapering, resizing, and adding custom details or embellishments.

Client Interaction:

Take accurate body measurements, consult with customers on fabric and design preferences, and recommend suitable styles.Create or adapt patterns according to individual designs and body types.Ensure garments meet high standards of tailoring, fit, and finish before final delivery.Organize daily workload efficiently to meet deadlines and customer expectations.Monitor and manage stock of fabrics, trims, and sewing materials.

Capable of drafting and adjusting patterns for various sizes and styles.Understand the characteristics and handling of various fabrics, especially those used in traditional wear.Communicate clearly with customers to capture their preferences and provide expert advice.Deliver high-quality work within set deadlines.Handle tailoring issues such as fabric flaws, fitting challenges, or design adjustments.
