Job Description

We are looking for an experienced

L2 Engineer / Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Fortinet SD-WAN

to join our IT & Network Operations team. The ideal candidate will provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and optimization of Fortinet SD-WAN environments, ensuring high performance, security, and stability across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities

Provide

Level 2 (L2) technical support

for Fortinet SD-WAN, including FortiGate firewalls and controllers. Troubleshoot escalated issues related to

connectivity, routing, application performance, and configuration

. Perform

root cause analysis (RCA)

for recurring issues and document solutions. Configure and manage SD-WAN policies:

dynamic path selection, traffic shaping, failover, application-aware routing

. Monitor performance using

FortiManager / FortiAnalyzer

and generate regular reports. Collaborate with

L1 support teams, L3 engineers, and Fortinet vendor teams

for issue resolution. Ensure compliance with

security standards, VPN, IPS, firewalls, and encryption policies

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

Fortinet certifications

(NSE4/NSE5 or higher) strongly preferred.

5+ years of experience

in network engineering with focus on

SD-WAN solutions

. Proven hands-on expertise with

Fortinet SD-WAN & FortiGate devices

. Strong knowledge of

network protocols

(TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, VPNs). Experience with

ITSM tools

(e.g., ServiceNow).
Preferred Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. Effective communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Pay: AED15,000.00 - AED18,000.00 per month
