The Kitchen Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all back-of-house culinary operations to ensure high standards of food quality, safety, productivity, and cost efficiency. This role leads kitchen teams, streamlines processes, drives consistency across outlets, and supports the delivery of exceptional guest experiences while maintaining brand standards.

Key Responsibilities



Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and timely food preparation. Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food production, hygiene, and safety. Conduct routine kitchen inspections to uphold cleanliness and maintenance standards. Work closely with chefs to continuously improve menu items and maintain quality control. Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to improve skills, efficiency, and teamwork. Manage staff schedules, productivity levels, and labour cost. Oversee inventory management, stock rotation, and ordering of kitchen supplies. Ensure full compliance with food safety regulations, HACCP, and municipality standards. Assist in new menu rollouts, seasonal updates, and recipe development. Prepare regular reports on food cost, wastage, kitchen performance, and operational KPIs. Monitor equipment maintenance schedules and coordinate repairs when required. Manage kitchen budgets and support financial planning.
