Job Description

This is an offshore position with the salary of Salary AED3000/- (Rotation - 5months/1month) + Accommodation + Food Major responsibilities of a Kitchen Artist are:

• Responsible to take care of daily food decoration and assigned duties to meet the set standard and qualities.
• Constantly check the quality of materials used for decoration.
• Check all food related set-up for restaurant and banquet functions and decoration must be done as per given theme party and required standards.
• Responsible for the correct timing of service and to ensure that thermocol carving or any other decorations are always of the highest standards and on time.
• Work closely with the pastry chef in regard to the cake decorations as per required standards.
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new decorative designs and preparation techniques.
• Coordinate and participate with other sections of requirements, cleanliness, wastage.
• Prepare all kinds of decorative work and show pieces for banquet buffets and restaurants, including Styrofoam (thermocol), ice carving, chocolates or any other type as per business demand.
• Attend all the operational requirement whenever executive chef and ADNOC representative need it.
• Ensures that personal grooming, hygiene and uniform wearing is of Kitchen standard.
• Ensures a high level of cleanliness within the Artist Room by making sure that it is kept in an organized manner, safe and free from dirt.
• Ensures that Artist Room equipment is used correctly, kept clean, and reports any defects promptly.
• Co-ordinates with the Head Cook on daily requirements and functions and determines the type of showpieces to prepare.
• Participates in Kitchen training and other related training programs.
• Ensures that non-kitchen staff are not allowed in the Artist Section as well as any other sections of the Kitchen.
