Local Unit & Position Description: Due to growth of the business, DNV Maritime Area Middle East & Africa is looking for a candidate to assume the position of Key Account Manager with approximately 7-10 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience from the offshore or marine industry to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a DNV Key Account Manager, you will mainly be leading and coordinating the customer relationship for assigned Accounts, continuously identifying and developing sales opportunities to capture new and existing customers and being responsible for retaining and growing business for NB, TOCA, PSA and Advisory. You will be the first point of contact for customers with fleets of various ship types in service or with new-build projects and, through understanding their needs, coordinate the necessary actions that will address the customer needs through DNV services, experience and capabilities. The position offers the candidate a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing team in a transforming country (Qatar) with numerous exciting opportunities. It reports to the Business Development Director Middle East & Africa. Your Responsibilities:
  • Identify and develop sales opportunities to capture new business and keep track of customer\'s existing contract portfolio to ensure renewal of agreements within due date.
  • Being able to build and strengthen relations with key decision-makers and influencers within the assigned accounts, enabling deep understanding and foresight of their needs.
  • Ensure regular sales and marketing relations with the assigned accounts in Qatar.
  • Create customer-centric Account Plans with impactful goals, strategy and actions that ultimately lead to identifying and securing new business, retaining existing business and ensuring high customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report sales funnel and the performance of the assigned Accounts.
  • Lead and support customer satisfaction review and identify and cascade within DNV any major challenges and concerns related to the DNV interaction with the account. Follow-up with the findings and ensure that related improvement activities are executed.
  • Cooperate with the technical team to ensure technical support and after-sales service.
  • Proactively stay up to date with industry and market trends and best practices as well as DNV products, services and processes to remain relevant towards customers and prospects.
  • Be responsible for the accuracy of customer master data and activity data in the CRM related to the assigned accounts
  • Support resolving critical invoicing claims and follow-up critical accounts receivables in close cooperation with the Finance team.
  • Support marketing activities and events within the Area/Region.
Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor\'s degree, preferably in Naval Architecture / Marine Engineering from a Technical University
  • Approximately 7-10 years of experience within the maritime industry, preferably from a class society
  • Very good experience in LNG, new technologies as well as managing technical queries from customers
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills obtained in a sales/customer relationship management environment.
  • Ability to build strong relationships at a high management level.
  • Strong networking experience within an international context
  • Self-driven and highly engaged professional
  • Strong commercial awareness and a customer-centric mindset
  • Inspired by taking ownership and working in a global network
  • IT savvy with expertise in Microsoft Office and commercial applications such as Salesforce
  • Fluency in English
  • Availability to frequent traveling
