Summary As part of the HR Shared Services Team in Dubai, you will be responsible for all aspects of MEA HR operations; ensuring existing policies and procedures are followed and supporting our employees based in MEA region. You will also act as an escalation point in resolving issues with internal and external business stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in HR Shared Services management within the retail sector and a thorough understanding of MEA region-specific employee regulations.
How you will contribute
Reporting to the Head of HR Shared Services and based in our office in Dubai, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
MEA HR Management:
  • Independently manage all HR activities from recruitment to retirement, ensuring adherence to company standards and agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Stay updated on employee regulations, labor laws, and compliance requirements in each country within the MEA region.
  • Assist the Head of HR Shared Services in delivering the shared services roadmap that includes development of HR policies, procedures, practices, and frameworks.
  • Coordinate and facilitate various initiatives such as learning and development events, CSR activities, and employee engagement programs.
Collaboration with Houses:
  • Act as the primary contact for HR matters within the MEA region, understanding the unique needs of each house and providing customized solutions.
  • Collect and analyze employee and brand feedback to evaluate service delivery effectiveness, sharing insights with internal and external stakeholders, and implementing corrective actions as needed.
System Integration and Optimization:
  • Implement innovative and efficient service delivery methods to accommodate the evolving business landscape and increasing headcount.
  • Continuously review administrative processes for alignment with HR teams, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to address system issues and implement upgrades as necessary.
Compliance and Reporting:
  • Monitor SLA compliance through monthly statistics analysis, conducting governance meetings with houses and external stakeholders, and presenting KPI reports.
Vendor Management:
  • Lead HR and Benefit management programs, acting as a liaison between employees, brands, and external service providers.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring SLAs are met, and conduct regular performance reviews to identify enhancement opportunities.
Managing the team:
  • Lead and support a team, providing guidance and assistance as required.
  • Conduct regular catch-up sessions to address challenges and concerns.
  • Manage the performance review process and identify training needs for team members, facilitating employee development.
Who you are
  • Proven experience in HR Shared Services, HR operations, or a similar role
  • In-depth knowledge of employee regulations, labor laws, and compliance requirements in the MEA region
  • Experience within the luxury retail or fashion industry highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, and best practices
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software applications (Workday is an advantage)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders / employees at all levels
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is preferred, but not essential
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
