KAM Africa Flowers ROLE PURPOSE
  • Ensure the delivery of annual sales targets.
  • Achieve profitable market share growth of Syngenta Flowers genetics in the assigned area.
  • Develop and implement 3 years sales plans and individual account plans based on portfolio.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure effective introduction and customer appreciation of new products.
  • Develop a deep market knowledge and vision in the region in order to identify and exploit business opportunies.
DIMENSIONS Geographic Scope: Africa countries Accountabilities Overall Business Accountabilities
  • Deliver the 1-3 years sales budget for AME in line with budget and aligned with the forecasting & demand management process.
  • Develop, implement & execute account plans for the distributors of choice with a 1-3 year scope.
  • Set and execute tailored commercial and pricing policies. Use pricing and rebate tools to drive the desired purchasing behavior and loyalty.
  • Identify shortages and manage substitutions in alignment with Customer Service (and Product Management).
  • Responsible for structural reporting in line with the defined formats and standards.
  • Establish a good network and working relation with the internal stakeholders and secure a proper 2-way information flow contributing to the delivery of the set targets.
  • Co-develop the go-to-market strategies for the designated markets with a 3-5 year scope.

  • Independent professional, able to work mainly from own initiatives
Critical knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in commercial and business management.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of horticulture industry.
  • Cultural affinity with the various designated markets
Critical experience
  • 5+ years sales experience, of which at least 2 years in horticulture.
  • At least 5 years negotiation experience with proven successes in value selling.
  • Proven experience and results in dealing with key accounts, writing and executing market profiles, go-to-market/channel strategies and account plans.
  • Demonstrated diplomacy in working across functions and cultures
Critical technical and professional capabilities
  • Fluent in English, Arabic, French.
  • Ability to effectively persuade in the various cultures.
  • Good analytical skills and excellent account planning skills.
  • Well-developed communication and presentation skills
  • Pro-active, self-motivated, action-orientated & delivery focused.
  • Able/confident to work in a fast-growing department in the process of shaping the business for the future.
  • Frequent (international) travelling is required for successfully fulfilling this role.
