Junior Waiter

Key Responsibilities

Greet guests with a warm welcome and guide them to their seats, ensuring a comfortable start to their visit. Present menus clearly and support guests with menu choices, offering helpful recommendations when needed. Accurately take and communicate food and beverage orders to the kitchen and service team. Serve dishes and drinks promptly, ensuring correct presentation, temperature, and guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and organization across tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout the shift. Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times. Assist in the setup and breakdown of the dining area before and after service. Anticipate guest needs proactively and provide attentive, thoughtful service. Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to supervisors when appropriate. Support revenue growth through effective up-selling and cross-selling. Bid farewell to guests politely, creating a positive final impression.

Required Qualifications

Hospitality diploma or equivalent certification. 1-2 years of experience in a restaurant or hospitality service role (e.g., runner, junior waiter). Strong communication skills and a guest-oriented approach. High attention to detail and dedication to delivering outstanding service. Solid understanding of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety practices.
