Core Duties

• Monitor and manage daily wine inventory, ensure proper rotation and storage of all labels, and reduce waste from opened bottles
• Support restaurant service by presenting wine lists, making pairing suggestions, refilling glasses, and handling orders with efficiency
• Maintain well-organized and clean wine cabinets, label open bottles, and set up mise en place for each shift
• Provide regular updates on wine availability and recommend adjustments to the wine list as needed
• Participate in pre-shift briefings, contribute feedback, attend tastings, and continuously enhance team wine knowledge
• Support stock-taking activities, document variances, and ensure wine chillers are kept at optimal temperature with accurate recordkeeping

Candidate Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of experience as a Junior Sommelier or in an F and B role within a 5-star hotel or upscale standalone restaurant
• WSET certification (Wine and Spirit Education Trust) is mandatory
• Fluency in English; knowledge of a second language, particularly a European language, is an asset
• Proficient in MS Office, Micros POS, and Sevenrooms reservation system
• Strong interpersonal and guest engagement skills with a flair for luxury service
